| Wayne Mataska rode saddle broncs and bulls for 12 years before going into training race horses.He trained race horses for 28 years and got into raising bucking stock in 2000. Most of the breeding at our place goes back to Rafter 7 stock! We decided we were tired of the moving around.We bought our place in Henrietta Texas and started our breeding program.We bought 2 Rafter 7 bulls # 448 Voodoo (Spook/# 10cow) and # 553 Hobo(Spook/# 1 Kung Foo).We bred to # 553 Hobo for 4 years and he is the foundation sire of about 20 of our cows and many of our bulls. Our daughter, Mickie Mataska Murray, is very involved in barrel racing and has a new website auction for bucking stock started.It is thebuckingstockconnection.com.Our grandkids,Dakkota and Hailey,are very interested in our business and the family is starting a herd of their own.
